NSA baseball team advances to conference championship game

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will play for a conference tournament championship Friday night.
The Saints defeated Greenbrier Christian 12-2 in Wednesday’s semifinals to advance to the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools’ championship game against Cape Henry at 7 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton.
Christian James pitched a six-inning complete game, allowing three hits and striking out eight. Nate Martin had three hits and scored three runs.
NSA carries a 14-6 record into the championship game.
