One person was injured in a shooting in the 400 block of Hunter Street Monday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police. 

Police initially received word around 12:37 p.m. that one person had been shot, and when they arrived, they found one victim at the scene, a man, who was treated and taken by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The incident remains under investigation.
