Carl Harless, 78, of Suffolk, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was the son of the late William Gordon and Mae Dehart Harless. He is also preceded in death by his brother, James G. Harless.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nadine Harless; daughter, Carla Love; son in law, David Love; and grandchildren, Ashton A. Love (Jeanette) and Joshua C. Love. 

Carl was an avid fisherman who loved to cast out in freshwater. He was a Carolina Panthers fan and enjoyed watching Nascar. Carl was a retired truck driver for Univar and found interest in cars and trucks. He was a man of strong faith and had a love for Jesus. He attended Open Door Church of Suffolk.

A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St. Family will receive friends one hour prior at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at Thornspring United Methodist Church Cemetery, 5670 Thornspring Church Road.
