Shooting on East Washington leaves man in critical condition

A 29-year-old man was in critical condition after a shooting early Friday in the 600 block of East Washington Street.

Suffolk police are attempting to locate and interview Dontral Steward, 21,and Treyzhan Outlaw, 22, both of Suffolk, as persons of interest in the case. Outlaw is currently wanted on an unrelated felony charge of concealed weapon-third offense.

At 12:49 a.m., the Suffolk 911 Center received multiple calls of shots being fired in the area, police said in a news release.

The victim was treated at the scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, then transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was not identified. Police said they had no suspect information.
