A Suffolk man who had been charged in connection with the alleged shooting of another man had his charges dismissed Monday in Suffolk Circuit Court.

Prosecutors told the court that the victim in the case had not shown up to testify and asked that the case against Elijah Likeem Brown be nolle prossed, or dismissed.

Brown had been arrested in December on charges including malicious wounding, three counts of discharging a firearm in a public place and the reckless handling of a firearm, and the use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony after a reported shooting on the evening of Dec. 7 in the 1500 block of Holland Road.
