Pick up litter on Clean the Bay Day

Suffolk will observe the 33rd annual Clean the Bay Day on Saturday, June 4, as volunteers clean roadways and the Nansemond River.

Volunteers by foot or by boat are encouraged to participate.

Individuals, families, civic organizations, business groups, Scouts and students are asked to register at cbf.org/events/clean-the-bay-day/city-of-suffolk.html

Boaters should bring their own kayaks, canoes or any shallow-water boat.

Volunteers should report to one of the following locations by 8:45 a.m.:

  • Constant’s Wharf Park (Nansemond River and downtown cleanup)
  • Lake Prince Boat Ramp (roadside cleanup – Lake Prince Drive)
  • Western Branch Boat Ramp (roadside cleanup – Girl Scout Road )

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon.
