Suffolk man indicted on first-degree murder, other felony charges

Isaiah Robert Moorman has been indicted by a Suffolk Circuit Court grand jury on multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder, in connection to a December shooting that killed a Suffolk man.

Moorman, 23, of Suffolk, in addition to being indicted on the first-degree murder charge, has also been indicted on charges of malicious shooting in an occupied building, robbery: death and two counts of using a firearm in a felony.

The shooting took place in the 200 block of Burnetts Way around 7:50 p.m. Dec. 14, according to Suffolk Police.

The victim, Tre’von Antonyo Lewis, 22, of Suffolk, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Moorman is set for arraignment at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Suffolk Circuit Court.

The June grand jury Suffolk Circuit Court handed down 64 indictments against 26 defendants. The full grand jury list is below:

Alfred Leroy Lewis — possession of cocaine; possession of heroin
