The Eclipse Fourth of July parade was held Monday morning, starting at Ebenezer United Methodist Church and winding its way through the village and back to the start.

Patriotic music played from the golf carts and floats, the Nansemond River High School marching band played, and per tradition, children rode their bicycles and received candy tossed to them from parade participants.

The church was the site of food, fun, games and prizes in the afternoon, and there was a raft race on the Chuckatuck Creek before the fireworks, sponsored by the Crittenden, Eclipse and Hobson Ruritan Club, were to go off in the evening.
