The Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts’ summer art exhibition, “Surf & Sounds of Summer,” will open Thursday and run through Aug. 27.

Patrons can meet the artists at a free opening reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. The exhibit is free and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

“Surf & Sounds of Summer” is an “exhibit of artwork that exemplifies positive summer experiences,” center officials said in a news release, noting “crashing waves, sounds of seagulls, children laughing, boats bobbing in the ocean, people fishing and crabbing, picnics of corn on the cob, watermelon, hotdogs and ice cream” as some of the featured images.
