Kings Fork girls, boys claim volleyball wins over Deep Creek

Kings Fork High School girls and boys volleyball teams scored wins Thursday night, defeating Deep Creek teams from Chesapeake. The boys also garnered a win over Manor High School from Portsmouth in a Tuesday night matchup.

The girls varsity Bulldogs won three sets, 25-21, 25-23 and 28-26, to take the win over the Hornets.

Lynn Weist led Kings Fork with five kills, 17 assists, 11 digs and three aces, while team Aulie Huff had 12 kills, one assist, four blocks, six digs and three aces. Anissa Lindsey had five kills, one assist, one block, four digs and two aces in the win.

In the boys match, the Bulldogs won three of five sets to claim the win over Deep Creek, 25-9, 27-25, 20-25 and 25-18.

For Kings Fork, Yerai Collazo led the boys with 10 kills, one block, two aces and five digs, followed by Ajaye Davis with eight kills, four blocks, five aces and 17 digs.

The Bulldogs’ Cameron Reid-Edwards had six kills, one ace and two digs, while Devon Hatcher had three kills, three blocks, 22 assists, two aces and two digs.

On Tuesday, Aug. 30, the Bulldogs boys team defeated the Mustangs, taking three sets, 25-17, 25-12 and 26-15.

Ajaye Davis led Kings Fork with 10 kills, two aces and seven digs, while Cameron Reid-Edwards added five fills, four aces and three digs. Davon Hatcher had two kills, 16 assists and six aces to help the Bulldogs claim that win.
