DMV Connect brings services to town Oct. 31

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles DMV Connect is bringing its services to the East Suffolk at the end of October.

The City of Suffolk Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with Del. Clinton Jenkins, have come together to provide DMV Connect services on an appointment-only basis at the East Suffolk Recreation Center, 138 S. 6th St., Monday Oct. 31, according to a news release. Operating hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the service closed from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for lunch.

DMV Connect is a service-outreach program and serves Virginians who may not be able to travel to a Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles office.

DMV’s Connect provides nearly every DMV service, including:

  • Driver’s licenses and ID cards
  • REAL ID processing 
  • Titles and registrations (title is mailed)
  • License plates
  • Driver transcripts
  • Disabled parking placards or plates
  • Address changes
  • Passenger vehicle and CDL knowledge testing (not available at all visits)
  • Virginia vital records (birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates are mailed)
  • E-Z Pass transponders
