Touch-A-Truck & Trick or Treat will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Commerce Street parking lot behind the Courthouse. There will be games, photo shoots, popcorn, interaction with large equipment and candy. Costumes are encouraged and treat bags are provided. The event is $5 per person or four for $15.

Liberty Spring Christian Church will hold a Trunk or Treat event from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29, at 4213 Whaleyville Blvd. In addition to the candy giveaway, there will be games, prizes and free hot dogs and hamburgers.

The Suffolk Art Gallery, 118 Bosley Ave., has an open studio on the last Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Artists will critique each other’s work, work in the gallery or participate in ongoing classes. Participants can join at any time but must bring their own supplies, clean up their workspace and take their work home with them. Most mediums are welcome, but participants could be turned away if their medium might damage work on display or pose a safety concern. The fee is $5 per session, and ages 15 to adult are welcome.
