Police investigate Happy Shopper armed robbery

Suffolk Police are investigating a Sunday evening armed robbery at the Happy Shopper, located in the 400 block of Carolina Road.
The suspect entered the store around 7:33 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, walked around the counter, then produced a handgun and demanded money, police said in a news release.
The suspect obtained an unknown amount of money and then fled the scene on foot. There were no reported injuries.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing at this time, and there is no further information available for release.
