Suffolk woman injured in Thursday night stabbing

A Suffolk woman was arrested on charges in connection with a Thursday night stabbing that left another woman with non-life threatening injuries.

Suffolk Police have arrested Aliyah Gordon, age 21, of Suffolk, and charged her with malicious wounding from the incident that occurred in the 1300 block of Bethlehem Street.

Gordon was transported to Western Tidewater Regional Jail where she is being held without bond.

Emergency dispatch was notified of the incident at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29.

Suffolk Police officers arrived on the scene and found an adult female victim who had been stabbed.

Following medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Fire and Rescue personnel, the victim was transported via Nightingale to an area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The offender was apprehended on the scene and was detained.

The incident remains under investigation. Police have not yet identified the victim or updated provided information on her condition. Police said no additional information is available for release.
