Carles “Charlie” Linwood Grubbs, 80, passed away on Jan. 2, 2023.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at First Baptist Church, 237 N. Main St. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be private at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
