Two Kings Fork High School Junior Varsity (JV) football players who participated in the 2022 JV season have been invited to play in the 13U and 14U All-United States Bowl Game in San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 21-22.

The annual AUSBG, coordinated by USA Select National Youth Football League Inc., is a Texas Registered non-profit organization. The games are aimed to provide an authentic year-end All-Star game to showcase the top 12U and 13U middle school, and ninth through 12th-grade high school players from across the nation.

Gabe Cragg, an eightth grader who played on the King’s Fork High School JV team in 2022 will participate in the 13U All-United States Bowl Game, Jan. 21. This is Cragg’s second return trip to Texas within a month. Cragg attended the National High School Combine at the U.S. Army Bowl in December 2022 where he participated in a three-day combine experience learning the latest performance technology.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in the All-United States Bowl Game in San Antonio,” said Cragg, who will play the position of Quarterback during the 13U game on Jan. 20. “I am looking forward to meeting and playing with the members of the team.”

Zy’Dar’eyus “Dona” Wynn, a ninth grader who attends Kings Fork High School, will compete in the 14U All-United States Bowl Game on Jan. 22. Wynn who currently plays the position of the wide receiver has been involved in football for about 10 years has experience playing the position of running back.

“It means a lot because this is my first time playing with other football players from around the country. I think it will be good for me and improve my skills and prepare me for varsity next season,” said Wynn.

Kings Fork High School Football coach is also excited that his players have been provided this opportunity on a national stage.

“It’s very exciting to have these two great young men perform on this national stage. These two young men do a great job of representing our core values here at Kings Fork. I’m excited they will be representing Kings Fork High School and being great role models for the youth in our community,” said Anthony Joffrion.

Wynn’s mother, Wanda Wynn, is thrilled that her son can showcase his talents during a national-level bowl game.

“I am proud of him,” said Wynn, who is most proud of her son’s academic achievements and his dedication on and off the football field. “It means a lot to the whole family.”

The All-United States Bowl Game is the farthest away camp that Wynn, and his stepfather, Jermaine Harry Sr., will have an opportunity to attend.

“I am thankful for the time, training, and dedication he has provided for me in football to get to this point,” said Zy’Dar’eyus Wynn.

While Wynn’s stepfather has played a pivotal role in his football career, his father’s legacy and role are always top of mind.

“Whenever I try out for a team, I always request a jersey with the numbers three or 10,” said Wynn, who uses either number to show respect for his father, Garry Hamlin, who passed away in June 2021. The numbers three and 10 signify the month, and the day of his father’s birthday.

“I plan on asking for the number 3 or number 10 jersey,” said Zy’Dar’eyus Wynn, who will repeat a tradition of remembering his father before every game.

“As I always do before every game, I will hit my chest, touch my fingertips to my lips and point to the sky in remembrance of my father,” said Zy’Dar’eyus Wynn.
