Gainey awarded doctorate from University of Alabama

 

Brittny Gainey of Suffolk received her doctor of social work degree Dec. 10 from The University of Alabama, located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama during its fall commencement ceremonies.

 

Lin named to Worcester Polytechnic Institute dean’s list

 

Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced that Erika Lin of Suffolk, a member of the class of 2026 majoring in computer science, was named to the university’s fall 2022 semester dean’s list for academic excellence.

A total of 2,069 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI’s fall 2022 dean’s list, which differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average. Instead, WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

“Those named to the dean’s list have excelled in all of their work, and we are exceptionally proud of these outstanding students,” said dean of undergraduate studies Arthur C. Heinricher.

 

Neal graduates from James Madison University

 

Haley Neal of Suffolk graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from James Madison University during commencement exercises in December 2022.

Neal was among almost 900 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees.
