Second weekend armed robbery reported Saturday night at 7-Eleven

Suffolk Police are investigating the second armed robbery this weekend, which took place a the 7-Eleven store in the 1100 block of Wilroy Road.

The armed robbery occurred at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4.

Police said the suspect entered the store, produced a handgun and demanded money, according to a news release. The suspect obtained an unknown amount of money and cigarettes, and then fled the scene on foot.

There were no reported injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and police there is no further information available for release.

The first armed robbery was reported Friday night when a person wearing a clown mask held up the Happy Shopper store on Carolina Road at gun point.
