Hilda Case, 97, of Suffolk, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson Hobbs; and sisters, Jean Powell and Ann Abernathy. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hobbs-Parent; son, Thomas Wayne Hobbs; brother, Frank Case and his wife, Becky; grandchildren, Joseph Parent and his wife, Lauren Bell, Noelle Parent and her husband, Ken Grasso, and Anne Renee Abernathy and her husband, Ian; two great-grandchildren, Alexis Yount and Leo Grasso.

Mrs. Hobbs was a past church organist and pianist at Cypress Chapel Christian Church where she was one of the oldest members. She was a member of Robin Farrell Circle for over 70 years and belonged to the Epicurean Club. Mrs. Hobbs retired from Eastern Virginia Medical School as registrar at 87 years of age. She loved tending to flowers and plants in her yard.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. Visitation begins at noon, prior to the ceremony at Cypress Chapel Church, 1891 Cypress Chapel Road, followed by interment in the church cemetery.
