Suffolk residents have the opportunity to learn more about the proposed fiscal 2024 public schools proposed budget at a Tuesday night town hall meeting.

School board member DawnMarie Brittingham, PhD., has set the session for 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 7 at Lakeland High School, 214 Kenyon Rd, Suffolk.

Brittingham, newly elected to the School Board last year, said all city residents are invited to provide input on the proposed Suffolk Public Schools superintendent’s budget. The proposal can be found online at bit.ly/3y5Squ4.

Brittingham plans to present a PowerPoint presentation for those attending to review the proposal. 

“I have already posted the link to the digital copy of the proposed budget on my Facebook and Instagram page,” she said. “After reviewing the budget, I will open the floor up for questions and comments.”

For questions that she cannot provide a complete and accurate answer will be submitted to the superintendent for further clarification, she said.
