Police are investigating a murder-suicide that began in Suffolk with the death of a woman and ended in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with the death of her husband.

Suffolk Police found Karen Glover, who lives in the 100 block of Bute Street, Suffolk, dead from multiple gunshot wounds when they were called there for a welfare check by family members at 7:52 a.m., Thursday, March 9.

The preliminary investigation led detectives to begin to focus on Glover’s estranged husband, Kevin Glover, 60, of Virginia Beach.

Police said the investigation determined Kevin Glover arrived at the residence, forced entry into the home, and shot Karen Glover several times.

“Mr. Glover then left the residence and drove to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,” Suffolk Police said in the release. “Mr. Glover was found by members of the Philadelphia Police Department deceased in his vehicle suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

Suffolk Police said the investigation remains ongoing at this time, with assistance from Virginia Beach and Philadelphia police. Officials said there is no further information available for release at this time.
