It’s no surprise that with so many hits, Cline’s music is still popular 60 years after her tragic death in 1963, the Suffolk Center said in a news release. She was just 30 when she was killed in a plane crash, but her death turned her into a legend.

Cline was depicted on a postal stamp in 1992, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award in in 1995, got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999, and was voted the No. 1 Female Country Artist of All Time in 2002. In the years since, a vast array of artists have covered “Crazy,” including Linda Ronstadt, The Kills, Loretta Lynn, Dottie West, LeAnn Rimes, Wanda Jackson, Neil Young and Shirley Bassey, to name a few.

Deal’s portrayal of Patsy Cline is spot on, the news release stated. A Georgia-born artist, she is best known for her authentic country sound. She has wowed audiences nationally and internationally. She is the 2016 recipient of the Georgia Country Artist of the Year Award and an honored member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame.

As a recording artist and singer-songwriter, Deal has written and performed with top Nashville songwriters: Bruce Burch (Reba McEntire,) Amanda Colleen Williams (Garth Brooks,) Brandon Bush (Sugarland) and John Driskell Hopkins (Zac Brown Band.) She has opened shows for country legends John Conlee, Sammy Kershaw, Collin Raye, B.J. Thomas, Country Family Reunion (Bill Anderson, Jeannie Seely, T.G. Sheppard.) and Rhonda Vincent. Katie has performed with country icon Loretta Lynn and is also a frequent guest vocalist with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. Deal and her band also were the featured entertainment for Georgia Public Broadcasting’s 2019 Gala Event honoring Brenda Lee.
