Beech Street man dies Friday from gunshot wound

A Suffolk man died Friday night from gunshot wounds at his residence  in the 300 block of Beech Street.

Suffolk 911 Center received a call in reference to the shooting at 7:23 p.m. Friday, April 7. 

When officers arrived, an adult male was located suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release.  The victim, David Joshua Gomes, 27, of Suffolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There is no suspect information at this time. The investigation remains ongoing. Police said there is no further information available for release.
