Two bomb threats at King’s Fork High School and a third at a fast food restaurant all turned out to be hoaxes Thursday.

Suffolk Emergency Communications was notified of the first incident at KFHS by a school administrator at 8:22 a.m. Thursday, April 20. Officials said the school was evacuated with Suffolk Fire and Rescue and Suffolk Police on the scene. The threat was deemed unfounded by the Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office. Students and staff were then allowed reentry into the building, according to a news release.

The school was evacuated for a second time and a sweep of the school was conducted by Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office and Suffolk Police, officials said in the release. No threat was found and the building received the all-clear at 11:14 a.m. at which time students and staff were allowed re-entry into the building.

A third bomb threat was received at the Chick-fil-a restaurant located in the 6000 block of College Drive Thursday.

Suffolk Emergency Communications was notified of the incident by an employee at 8:26 a.m. April 20. Virginia State Police, Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office, and Suffolk Police conducted a sweep of the building and property using the VSP K-9 unit. No threat was found and the building received the all-clear at 9:08 a.m. at which time the occupants were allowed to return and the building was turned back over to management.

No injuries were reported at any of the incidents, according to the release.

At this time, the Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office said in the release that it does not believe that the Chick-Fil-A threat and the Kings Fork High School threats are connected.

These incidents remain under investigation. Police said there is no further information available.
