Vernon E. Harrell, 78, passed away on September 16, 2022, at his home in Kingman, Arizona.

He was the son of the late Horace David and Nannie May Harrell of Suffolk.

Vernon was a graduate of Chuckatuck High School and William & Mary College. He served in the Air Force for four years and retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after 33 years of service. 

He is survived by his sister, Shirley H. Britt and brother, Bobby G. Harrell. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Horace Edward Harrell. 

Vernon was laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
