Suffolk Police officer arrested after internal audit

As a result of an ongoing time-audit investigation conducted by the Suffolk Police Department, Suffolk Police Sergeant Hector Rosario Jr. was charged and arrested on Dec. 5, 2023, for the following: one count of Forging and Utter a Public Document, a Class 4 Felony; one count of Computer Fraud; one count Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses, both Class 1 Misdemeanors. He has been placed on administrative leave without pay.
A hearing has been scheduled for 9 a.m. on Dec. 14, 2023.
