SUFFOLK, VA – On Monday, September 9, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m., Suffolk Emergency Communications Center received a call regarding a shooting incident in the 6100 block of Old Townpoint Road.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the chest. Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded and transported the male to a local hospital where he succumbed his injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation and there is no further information available for release at this time.
