Nearly a year since 30-year-old Kendrick Jackson was found dead after being hit by a vehicle on Godwin Boulevard, Suffolk Police are still searching for answers.

Authorities responded to the 6200 block of Godwin Boulevard on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2024, where they say Jackson was found dead. The Newport News resident reportedly fell out of the vehicle he was traveling in and hit by another vehicle, which police say then fled the scene.

Police are searching for two vehicles: a 2011-2013 blue Toyota Highlander and a 2019-2023 white Dodge Ram pickup truck. Both vehicles were headed toward Isle of Wight County, police say.
