Sheila Anne Brown,73, a Chuckatuck native, departed this life on Friday, January 31 in Charlotte, North Carolina after a brief illness.
Her parents William and Ernestine Brown, sisters Sandra, Willette Diann and brother William Darrel preceded her in death.
Sheila was educated in the Nansemond County and Suffolk City public school system, graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in 1969. She also received an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Tidewater Community College.
Survivors include her loving son Derrick Lamont Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD and devoted daughter Derrina “Dee Dee” Brown of Charlotte, NC.; niece Lauren Michelle Haley; sister Jacqueline Brown Woody (Curtis); four grandchildren, Jasmyn Brown, Cedric Hill, Jayla Brown and Mikah Brown; niece Symone Brown, nephews, Jonathan Woody and Denzel Brown; in addition to grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives and lifelong friends.
A private family remembrance will be scheduled at a later time.
