Suffolk Police make arrest in connection to bus stop incident involving a gun

On February 28, 2025, Suffolk Police responded to the 200 block of Triton Road in reference to a brandishing of a firearm.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the juvenile victim who stated he was getting off a Suffolk Public School bus and walking home when the incident occurred.
Once off the bus, an unknown male and another student were following behind the juvenile; the unknown male attempted to fight the juvenile, and then brandished a firearm.
Devontae Woodley, 18, of Portsmouth, was arrested on March 8, 2025 in connection to this incident. He is charged with Possession Of A Weapon On School Property, Brandishing A Firearm, Trespassing, Assault & Battery, and Contributing To The Delinquency Of A Minor.
There were no injuries reported in reference to this incident.
