House’s career-high 18 saves not enough for Lady Saints

Despite a career-high 18 saves from Saints Finley House, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (1-1, 0-1) girl’s lacrosse fell to Norfolk Academy 9-6 on Monday. This followed a convincing 7-4 win over First Flight at home on Saturday.

Kasey Rountree scored three goals. Returning from a wrist injury, Sarah Carson knocked in two goals and provided two assists, and Taylor Bradshaw contributed one goal for NSA.

For Norfolk Academy,  Cooper Cutchins was the top scorer with four goals. Lucy Wilson and Caroline Burroughs scored two goals, and Wilson provided two assists, while Millie Borum had 1 goal. Josie Saffold and Joji Purdy each had one assist for NA.
