Joseph R. Vardaro

Joseph R. Vardaro passed away on March 19, 2025 at Maryview Hospital after a long courageous battle with heart disease. Joe was born July 10, 1944 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Roy Osearo and Ruth Peez and stepfather, Jack Vardaro.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony Vardaro and brother, Ralph Vardaro.

Joe was a distinguished Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Joe was a football player in high school and the Air Force; he remained an avid football fan. GO SKINS! Joe also worked in sales at Greenbrier Chrysler for forty years.

Joe was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 58 years, Klema K. Vardaro; son, Andy Vardaro (Valerie); brother, Jim Vardaro; niece, April Trower, and a host of extended family members.

To honor Joe’s wishes, there will be no services and his ashes will be scattered in the Pennsylvania mountains. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Downtown Suffolk Chapel is serving the family.
