Voters in Suffolk began casting early ballots on May 2 ahead of Virginia’s June 17 dual-party primary, which includes races for lieutenant governor, attorney general, and seats in the House of Delegates.

Early in-person voting opened Friday, May 2, at the Suffolk Voter Registration Office at 440 Market Street. The office will remain open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and two Saturdays — June 7 and June 14—from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election officials have also made ballot drop boxes available at three locations: the voter registration office downtown, the North Suffolk Library at 2000 Bennett’s Creek Park Road, and the Curtis Milteer Sr. Recreation Center at 132 Robertson Street. On Election Day, drop boxes will also be available at all regular polling places from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
