Suffolk man arrested after shooting

SUFFOLK, VA –On May 6, 2025, Suffolk Police responded to the 100 block of Mahan Street for reports of shots fired at approximately 7:40 a.m.

Nine individuals were standing around a work truck when an unknown subject began to shoot at the group of individuals. None of the individuals were injured as a result of this incident. The truck did sustain damage from being struck by multiple rounds.

Initial investigations led Suffolk Police to the suspect, Clinton Cochran, 43, of Suffolk. Cochran was taken into custody on May 6, 2025, and is being held without bail.

Cochran was charged with nine counts of Attempted Murder. He was also charged with Use Of A Firearm While Committing A Felony, Reckless Handling Of A Firearm, and four counts of Shooting From A Vehicle.
