Suffolk police seek suspect in fatal shooting on Shoulders Hill Road

SUFFOLK, Va. — A woman was killed and two others injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in the 5600 block of Shoulders Hill Road, according to a media release from the Suffolk Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene around 1:35 a.m. on May 31 and found an adult female deceased. Two other individuals suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police have identified Derrick Dontre Corbett, 35, of Portsmouth, as a suspect in the case. He is wanted on multiple charges, including one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, six counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and three counts of shoot, cut or stab in the commission of a felony.
