Kenneth Wayne Johnson (Kenny Wayne), 73, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed on May 30, 2025 while peacefully sleeping in his home. He was predeceased by his Mother (Margaret Suits), Father (Linwood Johnson) & Younger Brother (Steven Johnson).
Kenny was born and raised in Suffolk, VA. He was enlisted in the United States Marines for 6 years. Kenny moved back home after his military experience and worked at Suffolk Iron Works as a crane operator and shop foreman for nearly 30 years. Kenny was a hardworking family oriented man with many ties to the Suffolk community.
Kenny is survived by his son Shane Johnson, daughter in law Caitlin Johnson, grandkids Trinity, Ethan, Aubree & Brady Johnson, Great Grandsons Kas & Cairo, His son Aaron Johnson, Granddaughter Brittany Johnson, Great Grandsons Cayden, Benjamin and Conner, His brother Tommy (Buck) Johnson & Wife Julie, Niece Crystal Masters, Nephew Steve Johnson and countless other cherished family members and friends.
A Special Marine Funeral Service will be held on June 23 at Albert G Horton Cemetery 5310 Milners Rd Suffolk VA 23434 at 3:00pm sharp. Immediately following there will be a repass for family and friends at the Kings Fork Community House 1600 Kings Fork Rd Suffolk VA 23434 at 4:30pm.
Flowers and dedications may be given to the family at date of service.
