To the editor:

While families in the United States get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, families in Israel are preparing for the next round of rockets fired by the terrorist organization known as Hamas.

During the last week, I was pleased to see our national leaders stand in unison with Israel against the actions of Hamas. It is imperative that we stand shoulder to shoulder with Prime Minister Netanyahu and the people of Israel.

I am proud that Congressman Randy Forbes is a staunch supporter of and a great friend to the Jewish people. Congressman Forbes supports moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, he has consistently voted to provide U.S. assistance to Israel for its self defense and he has voted to hold the Palestinians accountable for their support of terrorism.

Israel continues to be our greatest ally in the Middle East, and we must always support its right to defend itself.
