Roy A. Branch, 66, of 1018 Union Branch Road, Corapeake, N.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Gates, N.C., and the son of Allen Junious Branch and Erma Lee Branch. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eloise Britt and brother, Joseph Branch.

He was the owner and CEO of Carolina Cleaners.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jannie Branch; one daughter, Erica Scott (Earl), of Corapeake, N.C.; one son, Talbot Branch (Roberta), of Corapeake, N.C.; six sisters, Ethel Stallings (Loden), of Waterbury, Conn., Janie Ralph, Estelle Whitaker, both of Suffolk, Erma Lee White, of Gates, N.C., Mary Miles (Christopher), of Gates, N.C., Suzette Rodgers (Reginald), of Suffolk; four brothers, Walter White (Lessie), of Gates, N.C., James Earl Branch (Romona), of Sunbury, N.C., Bishop Robert Branch (Yolanda), of Portsmouth, Va., Vernon Branch (Vicky), of Portsmouth, Va.; grandchildren, Tydrick Chapman, Soquya Blizzard, Kiara Cross, Ashley Knight and Dominique Lundy; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries. Interment will be in New Middle Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Corapeake, N.C. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
