Holland-area man shot to death

Police spent Monday investigating a homicide at this home in the 800 block of Dutch Road. The victim, shot multiple times, was found lying in a garage, according to a police report.

One man is dead after a shooting early Monday morning, and police have no suspect information yet.

Police responded to a call shortly after 2 a.m. at a residence in the 800 block of Dutch Road, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

The victim, 27-year-old William Kendale Jordan, of the same block, had been shot multiple times, George said. A police report said he was found in the garage. He was transported by ground ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died.

The one-story home in the rural southwestern part of the city is decorated for Christmas with candy canes, bows, garland and icicle lights. Police were still at work on the scene Monday afternoon.

No one answered the door Monday afternoon at the home’s three closest neighbors.
