NSA boys’ tennis players make All-TCIS

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ tennis team produced two honorees on the All-Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools second team. Senior Corey Cutright and junior Jackson DeMello were selected after helping the Saints to their first winning regular season since 2004.

The girls’ soccer team at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy endured a difficult season, and had three representatives on the All-Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools second team. Junior Darcy King was joined in the honor by freshmen Meagan Todd and Maya Venkataraman.

NRHS girls’ soccer garners all-district selections

Suffolk garnered two representatives on the 2013 All-Southeastern District second team for girls’ soccer. Nansemond River High School senior Taylor Flick was named as a defender and junior Dawn Wright as a midfielder.

Four boys’ soccer players receive all-SED honors

All three Suffolk public schools had players on the 2013 All-Southeastern District second team for boys’ soccer. Members named from the Nansemond River High School playoff team included senior Zach Thomas as a forward and junior Gabe Everette as a defender. King’s Fork High School senior Kyle Beckett received recognition as a midfielder and Lakeland High School senior Kai Jones as a goalkeeper.
