Ethel D. Eley, 84, of Suffolk, made her peaceful transition to be with the King on Thursday, June 20, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Joseph and Bessie Darden and widow of Claude “Ray” Eley Jr. Survivors include sons, Vincent “Ricky” and Otis; daughter Claudette (Dareus); a God-sent daughter, Wilma Picot; her beloved brother, Fredrick Darden; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Sixth Street Baptist Church.
Her homegoing services will be noon Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 125 County St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
