Tractor-trailer fire closes part of Route 58

A Suffolk police officer investigates the tractor-trailer fire on U.S. Route 58 eastbound near Pitchkettle Road on Friday afternoon.
This tractor-trailer caught fire about 11:42 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 58 eastbound near the Pitchkettle Road exit.
No other vehicles were involved, and there were no injuries.
Traffic was backed up to the end of the bypass while officials cleared the incident.
