Ronald “Ron Skee” Lawrence Jr., 30, of 311 Chancelor Point, Stockbridge, Ga., died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Savannah, Ga. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of Ronald V. Lawrence Sr. and Peggie M. Lawrence.

He attended Nansemond River High School and was presently employed with USA Games. Ronald was a songwriter, rapper and performer. He was a member of the Christian Life Center of Atlanta in Rex, Ga., with Pastor Carl Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Romiah A. Lawrence, of Stockbridge, Ga.; one son, Ronald “Tre” V. Lawrence III, of Stockbridge, Ga.; two sisters, Stacie L. Carroll, of Riverdale, Ga., and Ronalda M. Lawrence, of Stockbridge, Ga.; special uncle, LaRon Eley, of Suffolk; maternal grandparents, Mary and Robert E. Eley Jr., of Suffolk; great-grandmother, Lottie Lewis, of Suffolk; special girlfriend, Santricia Friend, of Stockbridge, Ga.; best friend/publicist, Tanganyika Watts, of Charlotte, N.C.; other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Tabernacle Christian Church officiated by Suffragan Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
