Bulldogs clinch first golf win

The King’s Fork High School golf team topped Oscar Smith High School 396-405, giving the Bulldogs their first victory of the 2013 season.

The Tigers had the medalist on their roster with a score of 83 on the par-72 Cahoon Plantation Golf Course, but King’s Fork featured a more balanced team effort, led by senior Griffen Saylor with a 90 and junior William Crow with a 94.

The Bulldogs (1-6) will return to action on Sept. 10 against Lakeland High School at the Nansemond River Golf Club.
