Online registration for the Suffolk Parks & Recreation Pom-Pom Squad continues through Oct. 4.

The squad is an introductory cheerleading program in which children ages 4 and 5 are introduced to cheerleading in a safe, fun and exciting environment. As the children progress through the program, they will acquire listening skills and have a fun introduction to following directions.

Onsite registration is being held at Creekside Recreation Center, Kings Fork Recreation Center, Mack Benn Jr. Recreation Center, Booker T. Washington Recreation Center, Northern Shores Recreation Center and East Suffolk Recreation Center, Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 10. Late registration runs Oct. 14-26.

Saturday registrations will be held on Oct. 12, 19 and 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Creekside and Mack Benn Jr. recreation centers.

Registration for the Pom-Pom Squad is $30 for residents and $40 for non-residents. An additional $15 will be added for registration after Oct. 13 Pay by credit card online at www.suffolkva.us/parks.
