“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4:7-8

Brinkley

Gloria Lorraine Britt Brinkley was born on May 18, 1956, to the late George and Ellen Saunders Britt in Suffolk. On Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, God whispered, “Come home my child, come home for I have prepared a place for you,” to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  Our Matriarch obeyed and quietly slipped away to be with our Lord. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Alvin Britt and “Baby Boy” Britt.

Gloria was employed with Planning Council and Suffolk Social Services Department as a child care provider for many years. She was a member of Rising Saint James Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served faithfully until her health began to fail.
