John and Krystal Reid of Portsmouth announce the birth of their son, John “Cooper” Reid, born Jan. 14, 2014, at Sentara Obici Hospital.

Cooper measured 21 inches and weighed 9.2 pounds at birth.

Maternal grandparents are Paula and Kenny Smith. Paternal grandparents are Barbara and John Reid.
