Suffolk police are investigating a possible impersonation of a police officer, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

A 24-year-old woman reported on Sunday that she was stopped about 3:10 p.m. on East Pinner Street by a silver vehicle with blue flashing lights. She later contacted Suffolk police because she didn’t feel comfortable about the stop, Klink said.

On Tuesday, Klink said the investigation was still ongoing, and she was unable to confirm whether the stop was legitimate.
