Closures and cancellations have been announced due to the current inclement weather:

• Suffolk Public Schools, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and Suffolk Christian Academy all will be closed Wednesday.
• Suffolk city offices are operating on a two-hour delay Wednesday.
• Virginia Regional Transit will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, with service beginning at 8:30 a.m.
• Trash pickup will take place Wednesday but will be slightly delayed.
• Suffolk Public Libraries and Suffolk Parks and Recreation centers closed at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
• Virginia Regional Transit will followed its usual schedule and ceased operations at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
• The Suffolk Parks and Recreation Department canceled all athletic practices set for Tuesday evening at all joint-use recreation centers. Afterschool programs remain open, but parents were encouraged to pick up their children prior to the 6 p.m. closing time to avoid any potential hazardous weather.
