The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ lacrosse team defeated visiting Norfolk Collegiate School 10-7 in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II state quarterfinals on Tuesday.

The Lady Saints got all of their goals from seniors, as Jessie Lerner scored four times to go with two assists, Holly Kozak also scored four times and Olivia Elliott and Sarah Higinbotham each scored once.

NSA senior Lizzy Fowler recorded 12 saves in goal.

Nansemond-Suffolk (9-7) faces Highland School on Friday afternoon at Randolph-Macon College in the VISAA Division II state semifinals. The Lady Hawks advanced past the quarterfinals by defeating Fredericksburg Academy 15-8.
